Difference between Dendrocalamus asper s1 and Dendrocalamus asper s2
1- Dendrocalamus asper s2 originates in Burma, while Dendrocalamus asper s1 originates in Yunnan province China.
2- The mother plants of Dendrocalamus asper s2 are bigger than Dendrocalamus asper s1.
3- Dendrocalamus asper s2 has 80,000 seeds in 1 kilogram while s1 has around 35,000 seeds only.
4- Dendrocalamus asper s1 seeds germinate faster than s2.
5- Dendrocalamus asper s1 seedlings grow faster than s2 at the beginning due to their bigger-sized seeds, but s2 seedlings catch up very quickly if well fertilized.
