Fargesia ap. 'S. Yunnan' is a clumping bamboo found at high elevations in southern Yunnan province China. It grows 1.5-4 m in height and 5-16 mm in diameter. (Flowering clumps in 2021 showed a bigger diameter of 2-3 cm)
Its shoot is delicious. Its culms can be used for handicrafts, weaving, bamboo straw, furniture, etc. It's also a nice ornamental bamboo for the cold areas.
