Phyllostachys nigra is one of the most popular black bamboos.
It's been flowering quite often in recent years on small scales, but seeds were very difficult to get. Almost all of them ended up with empty shells.
Phyllostachys nigra is still flowering in some parts, but we haven't got good seeds by far.
